Evening/Weekend Orientation Part I

ID Badge & Parking Pass –Due May 1
- I have completed the request for a Parking Pass
- I have uploaded my photo for my ID Badge
Accommodations –Due June 1
- I am received accommodations previously in high school or college or am seeking accommodations for the first time. Please complete the Request for Accommodations Form
- I am an English Language Learner and am requesting accommodations. Please complete the English Language Learner Test Accommodation Request I am not requesting accommodations at this time am aware of where and how to request them should I need them in the future.
Email –Due June 1
- My sjcon.edu Email is set up and I am able to send and receive emails on a consistent basis
- I know how to set it up on my phone or other device
Math –Due June 1
- I have reviewed the Math Review Packet
- I have reviewed the Guidelines for Answering Med Math Questions
- I have reviewed the Basic Math and Medication Math Competency Testing Policy
- I am ready to take the test on June 10 in ExamSoft
- If I do not earn 100%, I will take a second test on Wednesday, June 22
Peer Mentor –Due June 1

Orientation Part II will be Wednesday, June 8 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Friday, June 10
Academic Advisor –Due June 15
- I have logged into SONIS and looked up who my Academic Advisor is General –> Bio –> Under Enrollment Information
- I have emailed my Academic Advisor and introduced myself
- In SONIS, click on your Academic Advisor’s name and then select Email Advisor

First day of classes
Classes begin Wednesday, July 13 at 5:00 p.m. and will continue every Wednesday for the remainder of your program.
Wednesday classes typically run from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Your first weekend will be Friday July 22, Saturday, July 23, & Sunday July 24 and will continue every other weekend for the remainder of your program.
Friday Classes typically run from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Saturday Clinical/Classes typically run from 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday Clinical/Classes from 7:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
During Term 4 along with NSG 213 Transition into Professional Practice and NSG 214 Nursing Assessment & Skills IV, you will also be enrolled in PHL 346 Ethics and the Nurse on Thursday evenings.
