Nursing Education Loan Agreements (NELAs)
Traditional Nursing Education Loan Agreement (NELA)

      Weekday & DDPN Level 1 - March 15
St. Joseph's Health Hospital offers a Nursing Education Loan Forgiveness option that provides tuition for 200 level nursing courses by signing an employment contract as a Registered Nurse and is required to fulfill 6,240 hours of service after graduation. Qualified applicants may apply for this loan after their first successful semester/term at St. Joseph's College of Nursing. 
Additional Nursing Education Loan Agreement Dual Degree Option 
(Current NELA Recipient)
Eligibility: DDPN Students Only
Application Deadline: Level 2 Only, March 15
A combined Nursing Education Loan Forgiveness option for students who are a current recipient of the traditional NELA and are interested in an additional loan for their fourth year tuition at Le Moyne College. The student is obligated to work as a Registered Nurse at SJHH while completing the fourth year of the DDPN program as a student at Le Moyne College.  The student is required to fulfill 6,240 hours of service after attaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Le Moyne College.  The employment obligations under this Loan Agreement may be satisfied concurrently with employment obligations under the Existing Nursing Education Loan Agreement. Qualified applicants may apply after the midpoint of their second year, second semester at St. Joseph's College of Nursing. 
Exclusive Nursing Education Loan Agreement Dual Degree Option 
(Fourth Year Only)
Eligibility: DDPN Students Only
Application Deadline: Level 2 Only, March 15
A stand-alone Nursing Education Loan Forgiveness option for students interested in a tuition loan for their fourth and final year (fall and spring semesters exclusively) of study at Le Moyne College. The student is obligated to begin work as a Registered Nurse at SJHH while completing the fourth year of the DDPN program as a student at Le Moyne College.  The student is required to fulfill 6,240 hours of service after attaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Le Moyne College.  Qualified applicants may apply after the midpoint of their second year, second semester at St. Joseph's College of Nursing.
