Graduate Nursing Education Scholarship

Eligibility
  • Legal resident of New York State
  • U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Graduate of St. Joseph’s School/College of Nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State
  • Matriculated in a graduate-level nursing program (Masters or Doctoral)
  • Completed a minimum of 12-credit hours toward degree
  • Documented academic excellence – evidence of GPA >3.5
  • Active, dues-paying member of the Alumni Association for a minimum of three (3) year
  • Documented commitment to advanced practice nursing in application essay
Award Amount
  • $2000 one-time scholarship

Award Criteria
  • Award must be applied to academic year educational expenses at the time of request for reimbursement. Funds are to be applied after dispersion of all other financial aid, including other scholarships, grants, tuition reimbursement, and tuition forgiveness programs.
  • Dispersion of scholarship funds must occur within one year of award.
  • No recipient may receive the award more than two (2) times.

Nursing Faculty Scholarship

Eligibility

  • Legal resident of New York State
  • U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Graduate of St. Joseph's School/College of Nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in New York State
  • Matriculated in a graduate-level program (Masters or Doctoral). Program must offer faculty preparation curriculum (Nursing, Education)
  • Completed a minimum of 12-credit hours toward degree
  • Documented academic excellence – evidence of GPA >3.5
  • Active, dues-paying member of the Alumni Association for a minimum of three (3) year
  • Documented commitment to Nursing Faculty role preparation and intention to serve in an academic role evident in application essay
  • Service Agreement – recipient must agree to work as nursing faculty at St. Joseph's College of Nursing for a minimum of two (2) years.
Award Amount
