At St. Joseph’s, you’ll join an outstanding and distinguished health care network.St. Joseph’s College of Nursing has earned the National League for Nursing’s prestigious designation as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education for the years 2016-2020.  “The NLN is proud to recognize those schools and organizations that are doing the outstanding work that sets them apart from others,” said NLN president Dr. Anne Bavier.  St. Joseph’s College of Nursing is one of only seven schools nationally that has achieved initial COE designation in 2016.  The Center of Excellence designation was inaugurated in 2004 and, with this year’s awardees, there are only 56 schools and organizations that have achieved this elite status.

St. Joseph’s was the first nursing college in New York state affiliated with a Magnet hospital.  Magnet Recognition for Excellence in Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center is our nation’s highest honor for nursing excellence.  Magnet hospitals provide rich environments that promote quality care, ongoing education and nursing research.
