The well-being of our students at St. Joseph’s College of Nursing is of utmost importance. The College provides the following resources for our students.

Employee Assistance Program Carebridge

St. Joseph’s College of Nursing is partnered with BetterMynd to offer our students access to private online therapy sessions from their diverse network of licensed mental health counselors.

These 50-minute, live video-sessions are private, confidential, and can take place from the convenience of your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. Sessions are available during the day, at night, and on the weekends. BetterMynd also provides free self-help resources and free group workshops to all St. Joseph’s students.

Mobile Crisis Outreach: Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) a service of St. Joseph’s Health Hospital

  • WHAT IS THE MOBILE CRISIS OUTREACH PROGRAM? Mobile Crisis Outreach (MCO) is a team of social workers, who work under the direction of a psychiatrist at CPEP. The MCO team, including Professional Staff, will make a personal visit, either in the community or at home.
  • Services Provided:
    • Evaluate patients in the community. For example, at patients’ homes, homeless shelters, crises residences, schools and other providers’ offices.
    • Provide emergency referrals to many outpatient mental health clinics in the community.
    • Make referrals to case management services and other programs specific to the patient’s demographics and age specific needs.
    • Facilitate hospital admissions when needed. MCO cannot transport patients but is able to ensure a safe transition to CPEP.

All sessions are free, confidential and not part of your academic record. In person and zoom counseling sessions Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 during Fall and Spring semesters, the Counseling Center is located on campus in Seton Hall.
